Filipino migrant workers in Taiwan celebrated the 125th Philippine independence anniversary after a three-year break due to the pandemic. Over 7,000 workers joined the event organized by the Manila Economic and Cultural Office. The celebration included a fun run, Zumba contest, live music, and raffle prizes. Prominent guests like Senator Francis Tolentino and Governor Dennis Pineda attended.
The event aimed to show gratitude to the overseas workers for their contributions to the country’s growth. The participants expressed happiness and unity after the long hiatus caused by the pandemic. Future activities are planned to strengthen solidarity among the Filipino community in Taiwan.
